In body psychotherapy we explore the unresolved feelings and experiences which create specific patterns of muscular tension and weakness in the physical body.

These habitual holding patterns become largely unconscious and may not support us meeting our needs in the here and now.

Body psychotherapy is a body-centred process and combines traditional psychotherapy with mindful movement, expression, role play and breathing exercises as well as therapeutic touch where appropriate. You always have a choice in how you participate in these exercises and we will work at your pace as gently or strongly as you need.
